Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to extend a warm welcome back to all our wonderful families and students as we return from our Fall Break. I trust that you had a restful and enjoyable break, filled with special moments and quality time with loved ones.

As we step back into our school routines, let’s carry that refreshed spirit with us. We’re excited to continue our journey of learning and growth together. Quarter Two: Diversity

This quarter we will be focusing school-wide on the social justice standard of diversity. Every classroom will be provided the book Dreamers. Dreamers is a celebration of making your home with the things you always carry: your resilience, your dreams, your hopes and history. It’s the story of finding your way in a new place, of navigating an unfamiliar world and finding the best parts of it. In dark times, it’s a promise that you can make better tomorrows.

Please read through the 2023-2024 Student & Parent Handbook carefully as we work to maintain a safe, and orderly learning environment. Specific and areas to focus on are listed below:

  • Pg. 5… School Attendance: Truancy and Chronic Absenteeism: Email yanuen.romoero@cvesd.org to report a student absence or call (619) 421-7080 ext. 570110.

Remember – It’s GREAT to be a HAWK!
