As you saw on ClassDojo, we will be having a surprise blacktop assembly this Tuesday, February 28th to celebrate Mr. Pedro, our beloved custodian. Hope to see you there! Be sure and keep an eye out for an invitation from your child’s teacher to join us on Thursday, March 2nd from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate our love of reading during this year’s Read Across America Week.

The Heritage PTO is excited to announce the return of the annual family dance! Come “Light the Night” and dance the night away in the Heritage auditorium on either March 3 or March 10. Tickets are limited due to capacity resitrictions so don’t delay and buy your tickets today!

The CVESD Director of Professional Development, Equity, and Access provides all staff and teachers with a culturally Responsive Newsletter each month and this month’s focus is on Black History Month. Teachers are provided with strategies and tools to use in their classroom to differentiate for their individual learners. We are proud of the equity work that our district continues to engage in, and we are eager to continually learn how to serve as culturally proficient practitioners ensuring that all students feel valued and capable.
Shoes with Heart
We are asking for your help with a non-profit called “Shoes with Heart” that will collect new or gently worn shoes to share with 600 million people worldwide in need of a pair of shoes. Please bring your (new or gently worn shoes) preferred if they are tied together to the main office box. Please be sure to fill in the slip located on the box titled “Shoes with Heart” that will include your teacher’s name, room and your first name so your class can get the credit. Thank you!
COFFEE Every FRIDAY… LOKO BEAN CAFE
Get your Fresh cup of coffee, smoothie and/or snack with Loko Bean Cafe… or Surprise your teacher with a gift. They are a local, veteran and family owned company and will be at Heritage every Friday. 10% of their proceeds go to support the YMCA programs. Check them out on Facebook.
