Good Morning Heritage Hawks!

Reminder… This week is Parent Conference Week and Minimum Day week. Dismissal is at 12:45pm everyday this week.

We have so much to CELEBRATE this week! As a community we held our first PEP (Parent Engagement Party) thanks to Dr. Schnitzer, our PTO, Mrs. Murillo in the Library, Ms. Mercado and Mrs. Gracia! We had so many guests come through on Friday morning to visit our Library Open House, and to visit our PTO and ELAC booths. Additionally, the PTO put on an AMAZING Bingo Night! Thank you all so much for helping to bring our community together for some fun!!

Last reminder… This week is the last week of the quarter. Fall Break begins on Monday September 26th through Monday, October 10th. Students return to school on Tuesday, October 11th at 7:45 am and dismiss at 12:45pm (minimum day).

Heritage Kickball Team Tryouts

Tryouts for the school co-ed Kickball team will take place on Wednesday, September 21 from 1:00-2:30pm at Heritage Elementary on the grass field. Students who wish to participate must attend and bring with them shoes, comfortable workout attire, water, and a GOOD Attitude. Students who wish to participate must also keep up with their classroom work.

Games will take place after school on Tuesday and Thursdays along with one day a week practices from 2:30-3:30pm (TBD).

PTO

Our PTO has officially started this year’s Membership Drive! Parents who sign up as a members receive “Free Homework” passes. The classroom with the most students/families participating will win a MOVIE PARTY, complete with PIZZA and PIJAMAS!

Our PTO is making great efforts to support our school. Below are several of the BIG GOALS that we are working toward.

  • New TV’s in EVERY classroom (Instructional & Communication Tools)
  • Support Teacher Classroom Funds
  • Support Noon Duty and Janitor Needs
  • Support Technology Needs
  • HAVE FUN EVENTS for our kids and families!!!

Kindergarten & 1st grade parents, Please keep your eyes peeled for oral health (pink) and physical forms (green) that will be coming home with those students who have not already turned them in. Please either have them completed by your child’s doctor/dentist or complete the waiver section and return them to the office as soon as possible. I need a completed form from each student.

Please continue to keep your child at home if they are exhibiting symptoms like: cough, sore throat, congested or runny nose, headaches, new loss of taste or smell.

Help our community stay safe and COVID free. We need to look out for one another by keeping sick children at home. If your child has a chronic medical condition such as Asthma, please use this link and have your student’s doctor fill it out so they are not sent home. (Chronic Medical Condition Form)

Good Morning Heritage Hawks!

Parent Conferences are here! We are excited to connect with families beginning this Thursday afternoon. Please reach out to your student’s teacher if you have not yet scheduled a Parent Conference. Remember that Conference days are Minimum Days and school begins at 7:45am -12:45pm.

We have our first PTO event, BINGO Night happening this Friday, 9/16/2022 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. See more PTO information below.
