Quarter 4 Week 5 : Week of May 1, 2023
Good Morning, Heritage Hawks!
Thank you for making it another great week at Heritage. Please remember that testing season is here and arriving to school on time is so important. Please remind your child to get a good night’s rest and eat breakfast and, of course, to try their very best.

How Should We Spend Our Money?
Every year Heritage develops a budget aligned to goals that supplement our baseline educational program. These supplemental resources are intended to ensure positive outcomes for all of our students. As parents/guardians, your input is an important voice in creating goals and a budget that is responsive to student need. Please share your thoughts on this brief survey: Parent LCAP Budget Survey
You will find a link to our Parent CAASPP Testing PDF here and a testing schedule below.
Have a great week!

Mental Wellness Program
We are excited to share that a new mental wellness program for your child is available. This program is designed for students aged 8 years & older. Campus Clinic allows parents to schedule one-on-one visits with a licensed provider. Parents are encouraged to attend the first visit via telehealth, and then schedule 12 additional 30-minute sessions between their student and the provider either in person at the designated location in the school or via telehealth.
Families do have the opportunity to continue these visits through summer & holidays as well. Visits are billed through insurance (the cost of the program is generally covered by insurance providers including Medi-Cal & private insurance companies).
From the HEALTH OFFICE
If your child has COVID-like symptoms such as fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea they will need to provide proof of a negative COVID test to remain in school.
Those with symptoms can return with a negative COVID test, no fever for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication, and symptoms improving. Students do not need to be symptom-free to attend school.
Heritage Health Office needs donations of clean clothes to have on hand for children who need to change clothes. If you have any clean children’s shorts or sweatpants that you no longer need, please bring to the health office. We are also accepting donations of new, packaged socks and underwear for this same purpose.
Reminders
- No Dogs are allowed on campus. This is a Chula Vista Elementary School District Rule.
- No Parking in the Bus Loop or in the Staff Parking. This area is designated for staff, busses and emergency vehicles.
