Week of May 20, 2024

Happy Sunday Hawks! We hope you’re enjoying your weekend! Thank you so much for helping to make our CAASPP testing weeks so successful. However, we are not 100% out of it yet. We still need your help to get your kids to school to finish our local measures assessments and also for CAASPP make-up testing for those who haven’t yet finished. Stay strong and remember to eat a great breakfast, get plenty of rest, and come to school on time.

We need your voice to make change at Heritage! Please take a few minutes to give us feedback click on the this link or on the image below to get to our 2024 Hanover Survey

Please enjoy the rest of your Sunday and we’ll see you tomorrow!

Sincerely,

DR & JG

ATTENDANCE & CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM

Please make sure that your children/students are coming to school and are on time. We’ve had an increase in tardies and absences, which can have a negative impact on their learning and on families who are on Zone Transfers. CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM is when a student is absent for 10% or more of the school year. It impacts students ability to form strong relationships with peers, impacts students ability to perform well academically, and can create poor habits that are hard to break. CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM is created by both excused and unexcused absences. Please communicate with the office if your family expects to take time off (3 days or more) from school so that we can support you with an Independent Contract while you are away. By doing this your student(s) will not be marked absent. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Please see see below for when to call in sick and when to keep your student at home.

LOKO Bean Cafe on campus every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month (April 22nd, May 13th, and May 27th) from 6:30-8:30am. Pre-order by texting (619) 342-5727.
