Please read Friday’s CVESD Covid-19 Newsletter (English / Spanish) for the latest Covid news.

Covid cases are having an uptick with the latest variant infecting communities across the country. Please check your child(ren) for symptoms every day! Those with COVID-like symptoms (fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea) must stay home and get tested. You can order free rapid home tests here https://www.covid.gov/tests. We also have test kits in the school office, if needed.

Hanover Survey

We want your input! It is that time of year when the Hanover Survey .  We hope all parents will participate. Topics on this important survey include school appearance, finances, technology, instruction, as well as attitudes about safety, transportation, climate and communication.

Please make every effort to fill out this very important survey.  Each year, we analyze the results of the survey.  Your opinions count and we will thoughtfully and purposefully take your ideas to make our school a better place for children. The link to the survey will be provided to you via our district communication platform the week of May 31, be sure to check your junk and spam folders for the email. Check your student’s backpack for a “Get to Know Your Teacher” flyer with ideas on how to make them feel special!

On Friday, May 27, the PTO will be hosting a Teacher & Staff luncheon to celebrate a great year. The PTO is asking for store-bought dessert donations. They can be brought to the main office and dropped off Friday morning.

If your student has a chronic medical condition that exhibits much like a COVID-19 symptom, please ask your student’s doctor to fill out this Certification of Chronic Medical Condition and turn it into our office at your earliest convenience. This will allow us to avoid sending your child home for chronic symptoms that could be mistaken for COVID-19.

Due to the unique challenges military members face and the impact they have on families, the Office of
Military Community and Family Policy provides Child and Youth Behavioral Military Family Life Counselors. They support the needs of children and families by partnering with parents, faculty, counselors and staff to foster healthy growth and social skill development. If you’re interested in receiving support you can:

  1. Fill out this online Interest Form
  2. Fill out the Child and Youth Behavior Parent Acknowledgment Form and return it to school.

    Good Morning Heritage Families! Coming back from Distance Learning has been a challenge for us all. Acclimating back to into the school setting, developing new routines and schedules at home, and building stamina for students to be back in the classroom have all been a part of the struggle for this year.

    Students begin CAASPP testing in Reading and Math this week and they get to show all the growth they’ve shown this school year! Below you will see some tips to ensure that we all have a successful testing experience. Thank you to all the families for all you’ve done to support your child(ren)!
