CVESD Updates

Volunteers

Unfortunately, at this time, Volunteers and Non-CVESD Personnel are not allowed in classrooms as per CVESD District Office primarily due to COVID-19 safety restrictions. We’ll keep you posted once this changes.

We are looking for volunteers to help on campus and outside of classrooms/offices to make copies, laminate, etc. Here are the Volunteer Requirements according to CVESD guidelines:

  1. LiveScan Background Check
  2. TB Test
  3. Vaccination Card or Negative COVID-19 Test Results w/in last 24hours
  4. Volunteer form filled out at front office
  5. Registration in our Raptor visitor management system.

As a school, we pay for LiveScan background checks, which comes out of our Site Funding. This limits the number of volunteers we can host due to budget constraints. We ask that any volunteer who is interested also adhere to our Heritage School Guidelines:

  1. Agree to support all teachers/classrooms (not only their child’s individual classroom)
  2. Agree to support at least 2-3 times per week
  3. Agree to be on a rotating schedule with consistent times and days
  4. This will apply to parents of TK through 5th grade because of the limited time we have left on this 2021-2022 academic calendar year.

Please email your teacher if you are interested in supporting our school. Thank you for your support!

Remember… It’s GREAT to be a Hawk! Have a nice weekend!

A Note From Our New Superintendent Dr. Eduardo Reyes

With decreasing COVID-19 positive cases, reduced hospitalizations, and more individuals being vaccinated, we are re-examining our mask mandates.  Currently, we are happy to announce a lifting of the requirement to wear masks outdoors at school. This policy update will take effective on Monday, February 28. Of course, any student or staff member who feels more comfortable wearing a mask while outdoors at school is welcome to continue to do so.  We continue to have the mandate to always wear masks indoors for all students and adults.

Please Join the CVESD Board Meeting coming on March 9th at 6:00pm. Join the discussion!
